Positive inspection by Waldner & Co., for the men's World Cup stage that will close the year, with downhill and super-g on December 28-29.

After having inspected two stages of the next World Cup in Switzerland, with the FIS managers at work between Crans-Montana (which will welcome women again at the end of February) and Adelboden (classic men's appointment at the beginning of January), the Federation's inspections have ended. International on the Italian tracks of the maximum circuit.
Only Bormio was missing from the appeal and just this morning the inspection was completed in view of the work to be carried out for the men's appointment scheduled for 28 and 29 December, with descent and super-g on the "Stelvio" of Re Paris.
Two days of work - crowned by full success and satisfaction, as the FISI press release states - in the presence of the full staff of the FIS, with Markus Waldner, director of the men's World Cup, Hannes Trinkl with Raimund Plancker, new entry for the competitions of speed, and the Frenchman Emmanuel Couder.
Also present Alberto Ghezze, for Milan Cortina 2026 (since the men's races will be right on the Stelvio), and the FISI delegation led by Massimo Rinaldi, race director of Bormio, with the staff composed of Galli, Pietrogiovanna, Pedrini, Alessi and Garbin regarding the organization on site.
The work was divided into two parts: on Thursday afternoon a technical meeting was held with the viewing of the videos of the races of the last five years, to evaluate different track situations and find the most suitable solutions to prepare the track in the most efficient way. This morning, the visit to the runway to bring back the assessments that emerged in yesterday's meeting. And the two days of December 28-29, after all, is not so far away ...
