DOWN MEN IN SEASON IN PROGRESS
In the current season they were played five men descended. The ruler is the balance: 5 different winners, 11 guys on the podium and a leading specialty that has not even won a race. The five winners are Kjetil Jansrud (Val d'Isere), Max Franz (Val Gardena), Dominik Paris (Kitzbühel), Travis Ganong (first race in Garmisch-Partenkirchen) and Hannes Reichelt (second race in Garmisch-Partenkirchen).

DOWN MEN IN ST. MORITZ
St. Moritz is a town in the canton of Grisons, famous, luxury travel destination for both winter and summer, as well as the historic town as far as downhill skiing. In fact, it has already hosted three editions of the World Championships (1934, 1974 and 2003), one of the Olympic Games (1948) and the various stages of the World Cup but especially women.
In all, 11 editions of the Men's Downhill St. Moritz first level, 7 of the World Cup, 3 valid for the World Cup and the one that gave the Olympic title in 1948. Austrians and Swiss are the masters: the most successful is Franz Klammen with 1 first, 1 second and 1 third place, followed by Bernhard Russi with one first and one second and the trio Grissmann Werner, Walter Tresch and Michael Walchhofer with one first and one third place. No man has won more than three podium finishes in the downhill in St. Moritz.
Are two of the top three from Italy obtained in this race: Herbert Plank was beaten by second Klammer December 15, 1974, Ido Cattaneo instead won the bronze medal in the distant year of 1934 World Cup.

MEN'S DOWNHILL WORLD CUP

The only one capable of reaching the gold is the aforementioned Zeno Colo; two medals for Giacinto Sertorelli (silver both at Innsbruck 1936 in Chamonix 1937) and Kristian Ghedina (silver in the Sierra Nevada in 1996 and bronze in Sestriere 1997), one for Ido Cattaneo (bronze in St. Moritz 1934), Herbert Plank (bronze Innsbruck 1976), Peter Runggaldier (silver in Saalbach 1991), Christof Innerhofer (bronze in Garmisch-Partenkirchen 2011) and Dominik Paris (silver in Schladming, 2013).
The world champion is Patrick Küng, who in Beaver Creek in 2015 prevailed in front of Travis Ganong and Beat Feuz.
