A podium made up of three different generations, for a giant of the Absolutes in that of Sestriere (after the two-day opening with speed in Bardonecchia) that rewards Alex Hofer, at the first Italian title at 27, beating the most awaited talent of the skiing blue, Giovanni Franzoni (born in 2001), second at 25 cents from the Alto Adige, and a veteran like Riccardo Tonetti, bronze medal with 30 cents behind.
On the “Kandahar G.A. Agnelli ”, the joke of the day is for Tobias Kastlunger, fourth (+ 0” 33) after having closed the first heat with a 2 hundredths margin over Hofer. Very short standings up front, with Maurberger fifth at 35 cents, while Giovanni Borsotti, gold yesterday in combined, is sixth after 53 cents.
At 9 tenths Luca Taranzano, seventh, ahead of Erik Read (in the FIS ranking) and with Pippo Della Vite, Giulio Zuccarini and Daniele Sorio to complete the national top ten, from which Luca De Aliprandini remains out, 11th at 1 " 80 but already far after the 1st heat.
Tomorrow on the same track it will be the girls' turn with the giant, then on Sunday the two slaloms.
