A career often conditioned by back problems, which exploded again last autumn.
Federico Liberatore had postponed his debut to December, competing in a series of World Cup classics in certainly not optimal conditions, until the final stop a few hours before the Schladming slalom. Then came the decision to stop definitively for this season, with the 25 year old from Val di Fassa finished under the knife today.
Liberatore was operated on at the Humanitas clinic in Rozzano, in the Milanese area, for a form of foraminal hernia: "I'm happy that everything went well - said the blue specialist - Now a little 'relax and then we start pushing again ". Hopefully next season will be that of consecration: the slalom national team would really need it.
