Giovanni Franzoni is still there, one step away from another podium in a European Cup that sees him ready to jump to the top of the overall standings.
The fourth place in today's super-g in Oppdal, tormented by fog (so much so that the start was postponed for almost two hours), means that the Swiss Ralph Weber is getting closer and closer, while the specialty leadership is solid for the 2001 class. Brescia, able to play even in a race with several World Cup athletes at the start.
The young Norwegian Markus Nordgaard Fossland won, burning Daniel Danklmaier for just 9 cents with the other Austrian Babinsky third, 2 tenths of a second. Half a second round the gap of Franzoni, fourth ex aequo with Christoph Krenn and ahead of a tenth to a certain Otmar Striedinger, sixth (there are four standard bearers of the Wunderteam in the first six positions).
At home Italy there were other good placings from Nicolò Molteni, 13th, Guglielmo Bosca 17th and Lele Buzzi 19th, while Zazzi, Cason, Simoni and Franzoso were out.
