Due to a hamster problem, German-born Fritz Dopfer, an Austrian by birth, is forced to stop summer training.

In November 2016, the original slalomgigantist of the Tyrol, who will turn 31 on August 24th, fractured tibia and fibula in his left leg in training and had to skip the rest of the competitive winter. Last season he returned to the World Cup but struggled, his best result was in fact the seventh place in the slalom in Val d'Isère last December 10th.
In view of next season, everything seemed to be going well and now there is an unwanted stop: "Last week I had to stop training in Zermatt, due to a problem with the rider who is conservatively treated for now. The rehabilitation is going on, you have to be patient! ".
Will succeed the German, six times second (three in giant and three in slalom) and three times third (one in giant and two in slalom) in the World Cup between 2011 and 2016 and world silver medal in Vail / Beaver Creek 2015 in slalom to return to its best levels?
