Forty and don't hear them, if we think about what Hannes Reichelt has done in the last 6 months. A true champion, the Wunderteam sprinter born on 5 July 1980 and who has every intention of returning to compete in the World Cup (but in terms of seniority he would precede Julien Lizeroux ...) after the terrible injury of Bormio, when on December 28, 2019 he fell into the second descent on the Stelvio, destroying his right knee. Yet, already in recent days the Salzburg ace has returned to skiing in Soelden, to resume the thread of the speech with the snow and get closer to the return expected in the season of the world championships in Cortina 2021: this is the great goal of Reichelt, to try to close a great career with another call for an world championship event, with the most beautiful moment experienced in a World Cup, when in Beaver Creek 2015 it was turned golden in super-g. Four years earlier, Hannes had only been beaten by Christof Innerhofer in the same discipline in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, always winning his only crystal ball in super-g, in 2008. For him, 13 victories and 44 podiums in the World Cup , that marvelous downhill triumph in Kitzbuehel in 2014, with a broken back that forced him to operate a few hours later and give up the Sochi Olympics.
