The winner of the Kitzbühel downhill Hannes Reichelt met the media for the first time from the operation for herniated disc.

Visibly relaxed and in a good mood, Reichelt tomorrow will leave the clinic in Innsbruck where he was admitted. According to Dr. Michael Gabl the athlete can begin the training program in two weeks.
"I have no pain and this is very good for me - said Reichelt -. Dr. Gabl me immediately about the risks that I would have taken if I had not worked, there was no way out. I never thought about quitting. Definitely follow the Olympics with a tear but the important thing is that now I can sit without pain and continue my career. My goal is to get back to the end of the season but it certainly will not be at the start of the last race, I'm already focused on the next winter and I want to move forward one step at a time to get back to healthy and fit. "
