By signing up for "Van Deer", the Norwegian champion will have at his disposal first-rate technicians made available by the brand of a career rival. And Marcel himself, a first-person tester, will be a very important support.

The news of Henrik Kristoffersen's landing in the “Van Deer” stable represents a real revolution for the World Cup.
A brand, the one conceived by Marcel Hirscher, which bursts into the white circus with a colossal bang, ensuring the performance of the one who has been the rival of the Salzburg champion for many years. It is no coincidence that the two have in common a powerful partner like Red Bull, which is essential to make all the dynamics, including economic ones, necessary to finalize the deal fit together.
However, the quality of the product and staff that Hirscher will guarantee to HK94 is also decisive, which has thus decided to say goodbye to Rossignol after a marriage that lasted 18 years and which, in the last months of last season, however, allowed the Norwegian champion to bring to home the slalom World Cup and regain a certain competitiveness on the two technical disciplines, as it had not happened in 2020/21.
Van Deer will make available to Kristoffersen, even if for now there is the strictest reserve on the team that will specifically follow Henrik (remember that there are also Charlie Raposo and Timon Haugan in the team set up for the 2022/23 season), technicians with proven experience. Like Edi Unterberger, who followed Hirscher himself for many years, the same skiman Raphael Hudler who lived fabulous seasons with Katharina Liensberger, as well as Bernhard Arnitz (who prepared Nicole Schmidhofer's skis for a decade) and finally the one who will have to coordinating all the work related to the development of materials, that Toni Giger who left the Austrian federation to marry Hirscher's project.
And the beauty is that the same Salzburg champion, winner of eight consecutive World Cups, is the first tester of his skis and this, obviously, can only be the most convincing card for Kristoffersen, who will try (even if the calendar is all '' other than favorable for him) a new assault on that absolute crystal ball that has always escaped him, even in the first year after “era Hirscher”, that is the 2019/2020 season when it was preceded by Kilde and Pinturault.
“When perfection becomes obsession, magical things succeed”, wrote HK94 on social media, taking up the slogan of his new brand. And again: “Van Deer is the new road, I can't wait”.
