For the fourth time in recent years, the home downhill team Austria, including the fresh bi world champion Vincent Kriechmayr, the Olympian Matthias Mayer, but also Max Franz and Otmar Striedinger, has dedicated themselves to a very special training . The appointment at the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy in Salzburg, for a series of ice hockey challenges and matches. “As a Carinthian you must be able to play this sport - smiled Mayer - The training is a bit casual, considering our qualities, but also very intense. We also won the 'last game ”. Max Franz added: “I really like playing ice hockey, we Carinthians have it in our blood and this type of session also fits well into the training plan. In reality, however, I can't wait to get back on skis ”. The return to the track will soon become a reality, given that the Wunderteam program includes an important session, practically the first towards the Olympic season, from the end of August on the Swiss glaciers, with Zermatt and Saas-Fee hosting one of the reference teams on the world scene. .
