The war bulletin never ends: right knee knocked out, even Brice Roger out for Cortina

The French downhill skier, who crashed today in the first Garmisch race, is suffering from a major trauma. The decisive exams on Monday, but participation in the world championships is already excluded.

A real war bulletin, which unfortunately seems endless. World speed continues to lose pieces and even today's two crashes in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen descent cost Joser Ferstl and Brice Roger to participate in the Cortina World Championships. After that of the German, the first diagnosis on the conditions of the transalpine arrived. As reported by the SBB, the thirty-year-old from La Plagne suffered a trauma to his right knee while flying in the networks of Kandahar 1, the actual damage of which will be evaluated in detail with a specialist visit next Monday. Presence at the next world championships has already been ruled out and, probably, Roger's season is already over, as he himself stated also through social media. Already knocked out in Bormio in 2019, when he was experiencing one of the best moments of his career, the French specialist had returned positively this season, with various points finishes including a 15th place in the super-g of Val d''Isère and the 18 ° downhill on the Stelvio that he loves so much. Now again a stop, hopefully not so long, due to an injury to that right knee that crashed already in 2014, during the tests of the Olympic downhill in Sochi.
