There is a month left until the next FIS congress which will also have to decide the calendars of the 2021/22 World Cup, although there is the possibility that, as happened last year, everything will be postponed to autumn. So let's see what the next season offers at the men's level, with the expected return of all the classics in their traditional programming, as well as the North American away game. After the start with the Soelden giant, set for Sunday 24 October (in 2020 it was brought forward by a week in the chaos of the Covid situation linked to tourist presences), here is the first big doubt with the parallel weekend, which in the last year went on stage in Lech / Zuers (in this case with postponement due to lack of snow in Vorarlberg), seriously in danger as this discipline and the combined itself may not even see any rehearsal take place. In any case, on November 14th there would be the second cup race, then on Sunday 21st the classic Levi slalom, which returns to the calendar for men after last year's sacrifice, and here is Canada and the United States for a double weekend with the sprinters on their debut. On 27-28 November in Lake Louise for descent and super-g, from 3 to 5 December the classic Beaver Creek triptych with descent, super-g and giant to close. The return to Europe coincides with the Critérium de la Première Neige, in Val d''Isère on 11-12 December with giant and slalom, then the "Italian campaign" from Val Gardena, with super-g and very confirmed descent on the Saslong Friday 17 and Saturday 18, passing through Alta Badia with the giant on the Gran Risa on Sunday 19 and the parallel giant on Monday, then the night with the slalom on the 3Tre in Madonna di Campiglio, on the fixed date of 22 December as well as Bormio keeps the 28 and 29 of the month for its two races, currently scheduled as downhill (this is certain) and combined alpine. Davos's return to the World Cup is also at risk (already scheduled for 2021, before Covid), with the parallel set for 1 January, then it will go with January which, except for earthquakes, will be that of recent years with the Zagreb slalom on Thursday 6, Adelboden with giant and slalom on the weekend of 8-9, the return of Wengen after the renouncement due to pandemic in 2020, with the combined first downhill and slalom from 14 to 16 of the month, and obviously the most anticipated weekend in Kitzbuehel, from 21 to 23 with super-g, downhill and slalom. On Tuesday 25 the last race before the Olympics with the Schladming night race, as the FIS has planned a weekend rest at the end of January before flying to Beijing (4-20 February for the Olympic Games). Garmisch-Partenkirchen, thus, moves to the end of February (weekend of 26-27), but with the proposal of slalom and parallel rather than downhill and giant. In March there should be no surprises: downhill and super-g in Kvitfjell (5-6 March, after the Norwegian trip was skipped in 2021, again due to Covid), on 12-13 the technical races in Kranjska Gora and, from 16 to 20, the finals of Courchevel Méribel, in the location that will then host the world championships in February 2023.
