Only two victories this season thanks to Paris, no Olympic cup and medal, the change to the technical guide of the slalom and the reference point of the giant who, after the final race in Méribel, spoke clearly ...

It was a very difficult season for the men's sector of Italsci, which on the other hand received a lot of satisfaction from the girls, who won 11 World Cup races (record) against only 2 of the men, both brought by Dominik Paris, they won the 4 Olympic medals in the alpine skiing sector at the Beijing Games, and brought to the showcase two specialty crystal balls, which did not come from the boys.
The "Casse-Marsaglia case" in China did the rest, as did the news of Jacques Theolier's farewell to the slalom team, which should however be the only one to change the technical guide, with Simone Del Dio who, once he leaves France with Noel's Olympic gold, he could also be the heir to the transalpine coach.
At the Cup finals in Courchevel-Méribel, the words of the captain of the giant team Luca De Aliprandini did not go unnoticed. The vice world champion of specialties did not hide, already looking to the future as the Azzurri struggled especially in spring snow conditions, on which the Norwegians, for example, exalted themselves, who work a lot between April and May. “I am not saying this to criticize whoever directs us, also because I know that I will pay the consequences, but we are the only federation that does not have teams until May.
You cannot work in April, there is no training plan, I myself organized myself for a year. These are the consequences that we athletes have to pay; ok, there is the closure of an Olympic four-year period, but there is no one who knows what to do from tomorrow.
I myself have to do mea culpa and think about what to improve, but someone else should do it too ”.
