At 29, the retirement of a good athlete who in 2016 had twice stroked the top ten is official. In the women's sector he also leaves the Swedish sprinter Helena Rapaport.

The men's German ski sector loses another athlete, who definitively hangs on skis at the age of even 30 (he would have made them on December 5th). Staubitzer was a good gigant for Germany, before suffering a real shot from bad luck, in the form of injuries between his back and knees; in 2016 the best results in the World Cup, always in "his" giant ", with an 11th place in Hinterstoder and 12th in Soelden at the beginning of the following season. The Olympic year then lost and a thousand problems, for only 21 games played in the maximum circuit and the last performance in March 2019 in Kranjska Gora, even if this year he had still disengaged between the Nor-Am Cup and the European Cup where he had a good 11th place in the last specialty race in Jasna.
Yesterday's news, however, is the withdrawal of the Swedish sprinter Helena Rapaport: 10 bibs in the World Cup, the Scandinavian greets at the age of 25, at the end of a season with a single call in the World Cup, for the super- g of Garmisch that had failed to conclude.
