In the first of the two rounds between wide doors in Austria, here is the pearl of the 26-year-old from Andorra (who has grown a lot even in the World Cup), with Torsti and Kryzl on the podium. Tommy Sala is 9th, Pietro Canzio for the first time in 10.

An Andorran triumph, to open the two days of giant in Glungezer, after the series of Italian competitions of the men's European Cup that will close in 2021 on the Austrian snow.
With many athletes involved in the giants of the World Cup in Alta Badia (certainly not an ideal concomitance, in a calendar that could have been better evaluated), including Giovanni Franzoni who even not competing defended the leadership in the general classification of the continental circuit, has arrived the shot of Joan Verdu.
Attention, however, given that the 26-year-old native of the Principality of Andorra has risen a lot in recent weeks also at the level of the CdM, and his first victory in the EC is anything but accidental, he who until now was not in any case never got on the podium.
Already in the lead after the first heat, Verdu resisted the Finnish Samu Torsti for eleven cents, then there is the gap in the standings with the Czech Krystof Kryzl who takes third place, 84 cents from the winner, followed by the two classes 1998 Zippert and Grammel, respectively from Switzerland and Germany.
Italy, with Hofer and Zingerle themselves, among others, engaged today and tomorrow on the Gran Risa, focused on the state of form of Tommaso Sala and the Brianza responded quite well: 9th place in the final, at 1 "38 from Verdu, after having paid a lot in a difficult first heat. And immediately behind (4 cents), for the first top ten of his career at these levels, is Pietro Canzio. Matteo Canins also scored points, twentieth, while Simon Talacci was barely excluded from the 30s.
