Austria rejoices with Babinsky and Danklmaier in Kvitfjell's super-g: Franzoni 13th, but leader of specialties

Men's European Cup: the first Norwegian stage closed, with the Azzurri today out of the top ten on the day that sees the two standard-bearers of the Wunderteam first and third, with a new podium for Cameron Alexander after the victory in the downhill.

The super-g that closed the three days of the European Cup in Kvitfjell speaks Austrian and ... Canadian, while today there is much less blue up there than the two descents that took place on Wednesday and Thursday on the Olympic track. It is Stefan Babinsky who wins, in a rather particular race where the high bibs managed to fit so much that the winner was number 33, the second classified Cameron Alexander, first in the downhill yesterday, is second at 13 cents with number 41, while Danklmaier (bib 26) completes the podium closing at 19 cents behind his compatriot and ahead of Jeffrey Read, fourth with number 31. Then there are only Austrian and Swiss flags up to Gilles Roulin's ninth place, while Italy has to be satisfied with Giovanni Franzoni's 13th place, who starts seventh, as leader of the super-g cup, disputes a good test while not getting the desired result (he will finally pay 1 second clear from Babinsky) which, however, serves to earn 4 points against Ralph Weber (15th), who remains at the top of the general of the continental circuit with 69 points over Brescia, according to . Lele Buzzi is a good 16th, up compared to the last few races after returning from injury and the choice to look for points and confidence in the European Cup, Nicolò Molteni 19th, Guglielmo Bosca instead would have wanted much more than today's 22nd place , fourth and last blue in the points. Beyond the fortieth position, in fact, we find Simoni, Abbruzzese and Alliod, with Zazzi, Cason, Franzoso and Talacci out. The men's circuit will remain in Norway, as from Monday 14 there will be the long appointment in Oppdal, with double super-g to begin with and, on 18 and 19 February, two giants. The ideal stage for Giovanni Franzoni, at the attack of the leadership in the general.
