The Rettenbach glacier is home to a maximum circuit test by 30 October 1993, after five seasons alternating with Tignes, & egrave; fixed place of & rsquo; opening season from 28 October 2000. In all, 17 editions of the male Giant S & ouml; Sölden. The undisputed king of this test & egrave; Ted Ligety, capable of commanding 4 times (2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015), and up to 7 times on the podium (more than 4 wins, including 2 second places in 2007 and 2009, and one third in 2008).
Thanks to his contribution, is the United States to control the ranking of victories in the nation level. 6 are in fact the successes stars and stripes (the 4 Ligety and 2 Bode Miller, dated 2003 and 2004), however, insufficient to counter the & rsquo; Austria in total podiums counting. On home snow, eagles and white have won 5 wins (Hermann Maier in 1998, in 2000 and 2005, Stephan Eberharter in 2002 and Marcel Hirscher in 2014), 3/2 and 6 third places for 14 top-three overall.
