In a statement published on its website the FISI has officially announced the removal of the Swiss Steve Locher, who last spring was in charge of the Blues slalomgigantisti.

Here is the text of the statement: "The Italian Winter Sports Federation announces that, on 14 December 2016, was held in Milan a meeting between the technical manager of the men's slalom and giant teams Steve Locher, the sports director of the alpine ski Massimo Rinaldi and the Federal President Flavio Roda. After the meeting, the parties have opted for the early dissolution of the relationship existing between the Federation and the technical Locher. With this news, the Federation would like to thank the technical Locher for the 'turning point activities. "
