At 27, the native of Les Arcs (14 bibs in the World Cup) has also decided to leave the competition. Let's see the situation of those who announced their retirement this season.

It is the sixth retirement during the 2020/21 vintage as regards the Equipe de France, after the veterans Julien Lizeroux and Jean-Baptiste Grange (who greeted everyone by running the slalom of the national championships last week- end), Baptiste Alliot-Lugaz and, in the women's team, Jennifer Piot and Josephine Forni.
Let's talk about Maxime Rizzo, who yesterday confirmed his farewell to competitive skiing when he was only 27 years old: the slalom runner class '93 of Les Arcs, to tell the truth, had already announced his choice after the European Cup races in Val Cenis at the beginning of January, the last of a career with 14 World Cup appearances, without scoring points.
The list of retired athletes is therefore updated after they left Ted Ligety (even before the World Championships in Cortina, then not disputed due to new back problems) and Resi Stiegler, with the last race held on the occasion of the slalom of Are, as well as Austria greeted Bernadette Schild and Hannes Reichelt, with Irene Curtoni for Italy and Marina Wallner herself for Germany, remaining in the field of slalomists, in addition to '' Andorran Mireia Gutierrez.
