Alpine Skiingmen's world cup
After the success of Tessa Worley at Kronplatz, in the evening of Schladming came the 2nd and 3rd place of Noel ("this time I managed it better") and Pinturault, the third consecutive podium in the night race and getting closer and closer to the coppone. And now we go to Chamonix for two more slaloms.

A dream Tuesday for the France of skiing, occupying every step of the podium and greeting one of its symbols in the new millennium. The transalpines started with the return to success of Tessa Worley, more than two years after the last time, with the amazing bi world champion on the Erta di Kronplatz.
Then in the evening here is the 2nd and 3rd place, beaten only by Marco Schwarz, by Clément Noel and Alexis Pinturault in the Schladming slalom: the 23 year old from Remiremont had never been on the podium in the night race, but still postpones the '' appointment with the first success of this season (yesterday's is his second placement in the top 3 after the place of honor already conquered in the first slalom of Flachau), while for the 29 year old from Courchevel came the third consecutive on Planai, after the second places in 2019 and 2020, as well as the second in the series after the one in the slalom number 2 of Flachau which means the absolute World Cup ever closer.
And the beauty is that all this happened on the day of Julien Lizeroux's farewell to skiing, who played the last race of his career in the Styrian night. “After crossing the finish line, I didn't expect to finish second - Noel confessed to“ Ski Chrono - I imagined that Marco had done a great heat, because mine wasn't so bad even if I made some mistakes. Sometimes I skied better, like in the 1st heat in Flachau before going out, but every race is different and I'm happy with my first podium in Schladming, here I often made a mistake and this time I take the result home ”.
Another important step towards the “coppone”, the most important one, was made by Alexis Pinturault, recovering with the best time in the heats from 11th to third place. “I didn't expect it after the first heat, but in the second I felt much better, finding a better pace. This shows that we must never give up and it is nice to be able to dedicate this double team podium to Julien ”.
And the next two races will be at home, with slalom scheduled in Chamonix on Saturday and Sunday. Last year, Clément Noel won, for his sixth and last time in the World Cup: will it be his turn again?
