"The Great History of 3Tre" opens the Sport Festival. The stories of Rocca and a unique exhibition

In Trento an event dedicated to the legendary slalom of Campiglio, with the last Italian winner present together with Paolo Luconi Bisti, who set up an exhibition visible throughout the weekend at Palazzo Geremia. Tina Maze will also be there for Friday's appointment with "Tutto il rosa dei Giochi" ...

There was a beautiful sun in Trento this morning to greet the first day of the 2022 edition of the Sport Festival, yet in Piazza Duomo the scent of snow was strong and clear. It will be because there are exactly three months to the 22nd of December and the 69th edition of 3Tre, it will be because it is precisely in the Trentino capital that today's classic Campigliana has its historical roots, from the idea of the founders Pier Antonio Ceri, Gian Giacomo Colombo, Rolly Marchi, Fabio Conci, Camillo Rusconi and Antonio Caliari, but there were many who responded to the call of skiing in Piazza Duomo for one of the very first appointments of the review conceived by "La Gazzetta dello Sport". The protagonists on stage were Giorgio Rocca, the last Italian to triumph in the temple of Italian slalom, Canalone Miramonti, back in 2005, and Paolo Luconi Bisti together with his "The Great History of 3Tre", the published volume da Giunti who retraces the most intense pages of this story starting from 1950. In the meeting moderated by Carlo Martinelli, the past and present of 3Tre and of Italian skiing emerged: from the origins and the pilgrimage of the "3 Races in Trentino" to the meeting with Campiglio, up to the expected return of the great public on a Canalone Miramonti that for too many years has been waiting to see the flag waving again. "When I was still in business, despite having hit three third places before the magical year of 2005, I didn't realize how complicated it was to win 3Tre - said Rocca - Now that success, and that" vintage as a whole, they acquire a different dimension: they were undoubtedly my moment of glory. Today the Italian slalom needs to find a new lighthouse, and the Campiglio public will return to shout with joy as in the most unforgettable days ". On the first day of the Sport Festival, the special photographic exhibition "Thirty-three Campioni alla 3Tre" was also inaugurated, curated by Paolo Luconi Bisti, which will be open at Palazzo Geremia until Sunday 25 September: a selection of the most significant images of the stars that have made the history of the Classica di Campiglio, taken from the Bisti archive, signed by Paolo himself and his father Giovanni Battista. After the prestigious occasion in Trento, 3Tre will continue its promotional journey around Italy: the next appointment is scheduled for Thursday 27 October in Bologna. Meanwhile, on Friday at the Sport Festival there will be more talk of snow and great skiing with the event scheduled at 11.00, at the Teatro Sociale of Trento, called “All the pink of the Games”. This is a new launch towards the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics with women who have made the history of various disciplines: the latest news is the presence of Tina Maze, alongside the many blue champions present, from Gabriella Paruzzi to Michela Moioli.
