Felix Monsen's season is over: patellar tendon injury after falling on the Saslong

The first tests leave no way out on the damage to the Swedish sprinter's left knee: in Innsbruck, in the next few hours, procedures for surgery and recovery times will be defined.

Unfortunately, Felix Monsen's season is practically over. One of the emerging sprinters on the world scene, ready to finally compete for the top ten after having already impressed in the first seasonal outings, crashed today in the second test of the descent in Val Gardena, and the damage to his left knee is important. The CT scan performed at the Bressanone hospital, as confirmed by the medical director of the Scandinavian federation, Dr. Jakob Svanberg, revealed an injury to the patellar tendon and, only after a further specialist visit to the Hochrum clinic in Innsbruck, will the recovery times and procedures for the probable intervention, hoping that there are no other damage to the bone and ligament.
