The slalomist and the gigantist dissolve the reserves after weeks of doubts and hope ... not to find Hirscher: "It would be fun to do a season without him"

Alpine skiing Sweden has a great sigh of relief, given that the retirements of Frida Hansdotter and Mattias Hargin, announced at the end of last season, had already taken away from the Scandinavian team two of the best slalom players of the last decade.
Andrè Myhrer and Matts Olsson have decided to continue their careers; the slalomist Olympic champion in office would have liked to have finished with a medal in the home world championship, in Are, but this was not the case and the 36-year-old from Nordanstig has given himself a new goal to find other stimuli. "I want to get double-digit World Cup victories - Myhrer told Swedish media - It's now time to work at its best with a certain type of structure to find my level in slalom".
The PyeongChang Olympic gold won 8 races in the circuit, including 7 slalom and 1 parallel in Oslo, in January 2018, the last success in the Cup and just a few weeks before the triumph in Korea. With the inclusion of the parallel as an individual race in the program of the World Championships in Cortina 2021, and more generally a program of competitions that is highly valorizing this specialty in which Myhrer is decidedly among the strongest, the Swedish giant could at this point continue another couple of years.
Different speech for Olsson; albeit only 30 years old and after a good year anyway, with a podium in Val d''Isere and a great chance wasted in Saalbach after the best time in the 1st round, the world No. 8 giant seemed to have lost the stimuli.
