The atmosphere is unique, for the most awaited classic on the Italian scene and among the most beautiful on the entire circuit when it comes to slalom.
Madonna di Campiglio and the 3Tre are presented in all their beauty, for the great night on the Canalone Miramonti which will declare the new owner of a fourth World Cup slalom crucial for a thousand reasons. We start, on a slope in sensational conditions, at 5.45 pm with the first heat designed by the Austrian technician Pfeifer (at 8.45 pm the decisive one, with the Norwegian Mithassel track).
Bib number 1 for Ramon Zenhaeusern, beaten in Zagreb only by Clément Noel who will instead have the 5 and will start after Kristoffersen, in search of the trio post successes of 2015 and 2016 (but above all to cancel the 19th place last Sunday and start again in the race to the crystal ball), Myhrer and Yule, last winner in Campiglio a year ago.
Alexis Pinturault will wear the bib number 6, then here is Manuel Feller and the first blue ready to set fire to the Canalone Miramonti, or Stefano Gross who here, in the 2016 edition, took the last podium of an Italian in the 3Tre; Fassano is one of the three great blue hopes from absolute top, together with Manfred Moelgg who will have the 12 and Alex Vinatzer (17), highly anticipated after the pearl of Zagreb and a few numbers before Giuliano Razzoli (20), who is looking for a other rebirth in Campiglio after that of a year ago when it ended in fifth place.
A very open race, with Ryding, Schwarz and Matt (starting from 13 to 15) that can be scary as well as some protagonists with high bibs, primarily Marchant (30) and Braathen (47), fabulous in Zagreb and constantly growing with that youth that is emerging more and more in the world slalom.

There are nine blues overall involved. Beyond 30, here is Simon Maurberger with 36, back from the first top ten in his career with the great race in Zagreb, then Tommaso Sala (39) to take other important points, Riccardo Tonetti with 51, Federico Liberatore (who on Monday in Vaujany he won his first slalom in the European Cup) with the 56 and finally Fabian Bacher with the bib number 64 of the 75 registered athletes.
