Almost five months have passed since that day and Marc Gisin, fortunately, has already put his skis back on and starts, after a decidedly delicate first phase of recovery, to return slowly to the world of competition.
To thank the guardian angels who saved his life, the 30-year-old Swiss returned to Val Gardena, meeting the team of people who intervened during the descent of the World Cup, with Marc lifeless on the ground after crashing on the camel's humps, transporting him by helicopter to the Bolzano hospital where there was fear for the impact of the head on the snow, in addition to the fracture to the pelvis immediately detected by the doctors.
"I went to see Dr. Lydia Rauch and the Aiut Alpin Dolomites team - the Swiss sprinter said - These people saved my life". A nice gesture, there's nothing to say.
