The exceptional forerunner of the symbolic descent (and we will see him again on Sunday) recounted his feelings after facing a three-day special. Meanwhile, Atomic announces Hermann Maier's "return to the family" ...

Five minutes before his friend Max Franz, starting with bib number 1, he opened the race most awaited by the Austrians and by the skiing world in general.
Marcel Hirscher had already faced, always as a forerunner of course, her majesty the Streif in the days of the two official tests, but today for the downhill number 1 in Kitzbuehel he was back there, with his bib (albeit not for the race) at almost three years old from the last time in the World Cup, to the Soldeu finals in March 2019. Obviously with his "Van Deer" skis on his feet and a performance, given that the Salzburg champion really wanted to make a good impression and not simply go down, just over two minutes and then about 6 seconds behind the winner Aleksander Aamodt Kilde.
After avoiding the reporters Wednesday and yesterday, after his test Marcel spoke and recounted his emotion, naturally without adding anything else about projects and ideas for the near future. "I never had time, in the course of my career, to get serious about speed - he explained to Eurosport - Now I was able to do the forerunner in the most famous downhill in the world and it was really fun (so much so that we will see again on Sunday). I have accomplished my goal ". He then added to ORF TV that “it was nice to do all this without pressure, now I really understand what downhillers feel in terms of adrenaline. Will I be back for it next year? We see...".
Meanwhile, just this morning the brand with which Hirscher won everything, and we are talking about Atomic, announced the "return to the family" of another Wunderteam legend, Hermann Maier. With what tasks and space, we will see it in the coming months ...
