The two-day Adelboden ends with a slalom, the discipline that for the past 17 years alongside the traditional Giant on Chuenisbärgli.

Adelboden is a municipality in the canton of Bern, located just 70 Km from the Swiss capital. Ski resort of international renown, is most famous for Chuenisbärgli, the track since 1967 hosts, usually at the beginning of January, one of the most fascinating and difficult Giants of the World Cup, which since 2000 is accompanied by one Slalom.
There are 14 editions held so far of the Adelboden Slalom, and one man has been able to repeat. This is Marcel Hirscher, who among the narrow poles Chuenisbärgli is at home, so to be able to win 3 times (January 8, 2012, January 13, 2013 and January 12, 2014) and have obtained 7 podiums, however, in the last row 7 editions held.
No other slalom skier has more of a success. Among the boys in assets, you were imposed Bode Miller (6 January 2002), Julien Lizeroux (10 January 2010), Ivica Kostelic (9 January 2011), Stefano Gross (11 January 2015) and Henrik Kristoffersen (10 January 2016).
At the podium level, behind Hirscher is a trio at 4 top three, the case of Mario Matt (1 win, 1 second and 2 third places), Ivica Kostelic (1 win, 2 seconds and 1 third place) and Benjamin Raich (2/2 and 2 third places).
Are two Italians can win the Adelboden Slalom. In addition to the aforementioned Stephen Gross, he succeeded Giorgio Rocca on 8 January 2006 for what was the fourth of five consecutive victories that launched him to the conquest of specialty cup. Gross also boasts another podium, third place on 8 January 2012, while the only other blue able to close between the top three is Manfred Mölgg, beaten by Hirscher and Mario Matt 13 January 2013.
The Adelboden slalom will be held Sunday, January 8th. First run at 10:30, the second race at 13:30.
