Marco Odermatt and filming: "How boring, I was looking forward to filming. And on competitions without audiences ..."

The Swiss multi-purpose at work with his companions in Zermatt. Meillard is convinced: "It will take a few more tests, but we will all soon be on a par". Marc Gisin also on skis.

The first real training camp at home in Switzerland continues, on the home snows of Zermatt since the beginning of this week. The slalom and giant teams are in full force to take advantage of the Matterhorn glacier, which also welcomed the first seasonal curves of Marc Gisin, eager to regain his level after a last year that saw him attempt to return to the Cup of the world, after the terrible fall of December 2018 on the Saslong, without however being able to go beyond very difficult descent tests. Two of the young leaders of the red and blue squadron, Marco Odermatt and Loic Meillard who spoke in the 2019/2020 season, both scored the first (and so far only) career victory, spoke to the newspaper "Blick". “The last few months have been quite boring, it was time to go back to the snow - said the native of Buochs, winner of the Beaver Creek super-g - It is therefore a question of finding only the sensations on the snow, but it will not take long. Races without audience? It would be very strange in symbolic places like Adelboden, Wengen or Kitzbuehel, but if necessary it is better to dispute them anyway, possibly even in those conditions ". For Meillard, winner of the parallel giant of Chamonix, “maybe it will take a few more days of testing to catch up, but I think we will all be equal and not much has been lost despite the lockdown. My prospects for the next season are simple: I want to be constantly ahead (in slalom and giant, but also pay attention to the parallel and the combined), I know I can do it and be fast on several occasions ".
