Mattia Casse works on the giant to get back to speed: Zermatt and Saas-Fee again

The Piedmontese, who returned last season only for the Cortina World Cup, dreams of repeating the results of 2019/2020. And to finally grasp that first podium ...

Mattia Casse is one of the most anticipated men at Italjet in the Olympic year, he who missed a lot by Alberto Ghidoni's team in the last one, after the talus injury of his left foot, suffered in November in training at Cervinia, which kept him out practically until the World Championships in Cortina, for which the Piedmontese attempted an almost miraculous recovery. Next will be the season of truth for Casse, who had shown that he had reached the psycho-physical maturity necessary to keep himself constantly at high levels; before the crash, in 2019/2020 the former junior world champion had finished in 6th final place in the super-g World Cup, touching that first podium several times in the maximum circuit he has been waiting for for years. On the most beautiful stop, but now Mattia is working well to get back competitive already from Lake Louise: I work in Zermatt with Paris, Innerhofer and Buzzi, then from next week again in Saas-Fee dedicating himself a lot, to create an important base, also to the giant (in the photo by Fabrizio Malisan here he is in action in recent days in Zermatt).
