Just yesterday, Marcel Hirscher fractured the left malleul and the Austrian Federsci announced that the 28-year-old Salzburger Land should not undergo surgery and that six weeks of plaster will suffice.
We do not have the medical expertise to know if Marcel's injury is less severe than that of Mattia, it is certainly very similar and now all true alpine ski enthusiasts hope that Hirscher does not end in turn under the heels.
