Moelgg, the blue ski highlander: happy birthday Manni, 39 and don't hear them with another Olympic dream

Preparation for a new vintage has already begun, probably the last of a great career. We celebrate the birthday of a special athlete.

He is the highlander of blue skiing, a champion on the track and a reference for everyone outside, a true example of professionalism and humanity. Manfred Moelgg today celebrates 39 years, he was born on June 3, 1982 and, from his San Vigilio di Marebbe, came to conquer the world with three world medals, that magical crystal ball of slalom in 2008 and the ability to remain at summit for over 15 years, even overcoming a terrible 2020 from the rupture of the knee crusader remedied in the giant of Adelboden, until the return last autumn also conditioned by Covid. Manni is always there, playing for the top ten between the tight posts, and he has no intention of giving up yet; just last season, which at 38 years old and after such an injury could have seen him really in great difficulty, he realized he was still competitive and therefore decided to continue, until Beijing 2022. His last Olympics, even if it would have been really beautiful to have a symbol of blue skiing even at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Games. Let's enjoy it for a few more months ... or who knows, maybe a little longer.
