The French champion, who brought the absolute World Cup back to transalpine soil 24 years after Luc Alphand, talks about his triumph. And raises for the future.

He wanted to legitimize a World Cup discussed in the last few days, due to the cancellations of the downhill and super-g in Lenzerheide which certainly disadvantaged his direct rival Marco Odermatt, with two truly top-level technical races.
On Saturday the final giant took strength, bringing home everything there was to take home, that is the crystal ball of discipline and the long-awaited absolute one, from France since 1996/97 branded Luc Alphand. Finally, on Sunday, Alexis Pinturault also missed the double, with a great 2nd round of slalom and third place just 11 cents from Manuel Feller and the possible fourth success of his career between the narrow poles.
"This race was a bonus for me and I tried to do it as best I could - explained the 30-year-old from Courchevel in the post slalom - I was tired after Saturday, we celebrated as it should be, but it's nice to finish again on the podium.
The best time of the season? I don't really know whether to choose between the two victories in a row in Adelboden, in a temple of the giant where putting two successes is something magical, or the final giant, which was the key moment where everything had to fit together to make the dream come true. Then you find yourself lifting two World Cups and the emotion is truly special.
Next year I will try to repeat myself, there will also be the Olympics and it will be a very intense year, but I still have many goals ”.
