The post Wengen World Cup rankings: Kristoffersen with 78 points on Alexis, but Kilde and Paris have the chance to fly to the top after the descent on the Streif.

Another podium that weighs, to try to stretch decisively, in the heart of January of the slalom that is taking it to the position that was expected.
Henrik Kristoffersen commands the absolute World Cup after the Wengen weekend, with the new overtaking on Alexis Pinturault who today, with the fork in the 2nd heat of a slalom that would have probably seen the French at least on the podium, but perhaps while fighting with the Norwegian for 2nd place behind Noel, he did double damage to his ranking.
The 28-year-old from Courchevel is at -78 and has a totally negative trend in the technical disciplines, given that at every race he is losing heavy points from Kristoffersen: the beauty, however, is that without series wins also Aleksander Aamodt Kilde and Dominik Paris ( more than Mayer, at least this is the feeling despite the Carinthian having also won in the Alpine combined) they are in the running and they will play a lot in Kitzbuehel.
Next Friday with the super-g and Saturday with the descent on the Streif, there is a real chance to return to the top of the overall, although then Kristoffersen and Pinturault (the latter should also take part in the super-g) will respond with the slalom on Sunday and the "night race" of Schladming on Tuesday 28.
As for the slalom standings, Clément Noel has returned 62 points away from Kristoffersen, with all the others (excluding Yule, 67 points with the red bib) who already seem out of the game halfway, since they have been 6 of the 12 specialty races scheduled. In the WCSL, today's negative race brought Stefano Gross out of 15 (he will start with 16 in Kitz, considering the absences of Moelgg and Hirschbuehl), with Vinatzer who will lose a couple of squares and is 18th virtual, while Razzoli earns a little something and Maurberger consolidates its placement in the 30.
