Ralph Weber cost the fall in the Saalbach-Hinterglemm descent dear, just the day after signing the best surprise time in practice (albeit with an advantage linked to weather conditions).
The 26-year-old Swiss had a break in the internal ligament of his left knee, as diagnosed by the medical director of the Swiss federsci, Walter O. Frey, who visited him at the Balgrist clinic in Zurich: "There will be no need for surgery surgical, the recovery period is about six weeks ".
Weber had obtained the best result in 10th place in the descent of Wengen, where among other things he had conquered the previous week two third places in the European Cup, winning instead in the continental circuit at the beginning of the season, with the success in the super-g of Santa Caterina Valfurva.
