Reichelt and the quarantine recovery: "I want to continue. With my wife Larissa we think of Italy"

The Austrian champion, 40 years old on 5 July, wants to arrive in Cortina 2021 after the injury to the crusader suffered in Bormio. And it tells of a very particular period.

Hannes Reichelt does not give up, on the contrary he raises. As he had already declared a couple of days after the very serious injury suffered last December in Bormio, when the Austrian champion injured the crusader of his right knee, the intention is to return and play the best the year that will lead to world championships in Cortina 2021, after having "climbed" the 40 years that will turn 5 July. On the other hand, the super-g world champion at Beaver Creek 2015 has an important link with Italy, considering that his wife Larissa is South Tyrolean and Hannes has spent long periods in our country (and the couple got married in Merano in September 2016). Precisely at this very particular and difficult moment, in the interview released on the Austrian Federsci website, Reichelt also told us about a quarantine for which he prepared in advance: “My wife has closely followed the story starting from the situation in Italy, so we were ready when the virus came to us too. Considering the bond we have with the country, we are experiencing everything with a lot of apprehension ".
