The Swiss slalom rider, who returned to high levels in the final of last season, in the pits until November: his debut in Alta Badia should be safe.

A new knee problem, right after having found the best sensations (and results) in the 2019/2020 season. Reto Schmidiger, who injured his right crusader during the slalom in Val d''Isère in December 2017, has to deal with a problem in his left knee.
The 28-year-old from Switzerland suffered a rupture of the meniscus and damage to the cartilage that will require at least a few weeks off: "I will have to take a break until the beginning of November - explains the red-cross slalomist himself on social media - I will take advantage of this period for recover, maintaining the "right attitude".
Schmidiger should be there for the seasonal debut of the specialists between the narrow posts, given that the new World Cup calendar has moved the opening to 21 December, with the slalom in Alta Badia 24 hours before the 3Tre di Madonna di Campiglio. The Swiss had obtained, in the last race held last February 8, a decent 15th place in Chamonix, preceded by the second best result of his career, with the ninth place in Kitzbuehel since he had previously placed 8th, still very young and just starting out, in the Lenzerheide slalom of the 2011 CdM finals.
