The Scandinavian sprinter, who took part in the last two world championships and made 11 appearances in the CdM, announced his farewell to skiing after starting his preparation with the national team: "I wanted to give myself another chance, but I don't try anymore joy in skiing ".

A surprise retreat, in the middle of summer training with the World Cup speed group of the Swedish national team, of which he was a cornerstone considering also the injury suffered by the best specialist of the team, Felix Monsen. At just 24 years old (we are talking about a boy born in December 1997), Olle Sundin hangs up his skis: the official announcement arrived today from the Scandinavian country's federation, who explained how the decision was made after starting the preparation and carried out all the camps with the national team in view of the 2022/23 season. “I lost the motivation and the joy of practicing high level skiing - Sundin's words - I experienced this feeling already last season, but I had decided to give myself another chance”. He thus leaves an athlete who, in addition to three podiums in the European Cup, has taken part in the last two editions of the World Cup, the one at Are (where he was 24th downhill) and then in Cortina 2021, and put together 11 appearances in the Cup of the World, without ever being able to grasp points and often conditioned by physical problems.
