The British slalom rider, winner last January 22 on the "Ganslern", received the classic gondola for a very special event in the ski temple.

The first World Cup victory at the age of 35, in a legendary slalom like that of Kitzbuehel, under a blizzard to become the first British athlete to win in the maximum circuit and in the Hahnenkamm-rennen temple.
Dave Ryding, 4 months after that very special day, last night was honored by the organizers of the most important weekend of the white circus, with the classic delivery of the gondola in his name. An event that, on this occasion, was however particularly special given that Kitz decided to invite fellow countrymen (all those residing in the area who made a request in recent days) of the slalom rider, as well as Lord Colin Moynihan representing the British parliament.
“It's certainly the best year of my life,” said Ryding, who got married a few days ago and is expecting a child from his wife. "Dave's victory in the Kitzbuehel slalom has been and will be an inspiration for generations," Moynihan said at the ceremony.
