In Friuli, after the European Cup, excellent FIS matches with the blue in the Slovenian "pincer". Cazzaniga closes sixth.

A high level FIS descent, the one staged today in Sella Nevea, which last week had hosted three splendid European Cup races. On the Friulian snows, a nice second place came for the blue Florian Schieder, 48 cents from Miha Hrobat and 5 cents in front of another Slovenian, Martin Cater. Davide Cazzaniga's sixth place came home in Italy, the fastest in practice yesterday, and Hugo Mittermair's 9th who won the stage of the Italian GP in the senior category. Tenth place overall, however, for Pietro Zazzi. Simon Talacci, second in the senior Italian GP ahead of Matteo Vaghi, is also the best junior of the day, overtaking Luca Resinelli and Martino Rizzi. Among the aspirants the leader is the 2002 class Tommaso Zanella, who has put Gabriel Stauder and Enrico Giacomelli behind him.
