After a disappointing season that saw only two skiers on the podium, Germany starts from the Rettenbach glacier.

There are only two German skiers who last year reached the podium: Felix Neureuther, winner of the Slalom Naeba and Val d' 'Isere second and third in the Giant Slalom, and fritz dopfer, third in slalom in Kitzbuehel. The Teutonic team starts from them to return to the top, a clear goal declared by technical director Wolfgang Maier announcing the team for Soelden: "After a critical analysis of the results of last season we knew what could be improved. We have changed the preparation with the '' aim to be on the podium more & ugrave; often. We are confident, especially in technical tests, to be able to return to levels of excellence. "
Will be six Germans present at the starting gate of Soelden:

The tip & egrave; Felix Neureuther, seventh last year in the ranking of specialty & agrave; and sixth in 2015 in the opening round where he had not gone very well Stefan Luitz, only eighteen in spite of the ninth in the "cup" of the Giant at the end of the season with six placings in the top ten, and his best result a fifth place in Hinterstoder.
