Twenty-nine years old next June 15, the native of Vorarlberg announced his farewell to competitive sport: "I was able to live my dream, now I look to another future". Twenty-two tokens in the CdM, four in the last season with a placement in points.

A little over two months later, however, Magnus Walch has announced that next season he will no longer be on the track: the retirement of the '92 native of Vorarlberg, who in his career has collected 22 bibs in the World Cup, is official. with a 14th place in the giant of Adelboden of 2018 as the best result.
Pure specialist, in the last season he still had four chances in the maximum circuit, disputing the two giants of Santa Caterina Valfurva (with a good 21st place in the second round), the one in Alta Badia and finally in Adelboden. “I was able to live my dream, competing in 482 races at FIS level, with 55 podiums and 30 victories - recalled Walch in his social message - For the young Magnus, taking part in even just a World Cup race seemed almost impossible.
I am grateful for all this, I have turned my greatest passion into a job; I spent the best years of my life with Team Global Racing, I will miss that wonderful team so much. I really have to thank an endless list of people. Now it's time to look ahead and find out what the future holds for me ”.
