Cristian Deville retires

Yesterday they did not want to confirm it, but today the FISI, not including its name within the national teams for the next season, has virtually made official the news published by some specialized sites, namely the withdrawal of Cristian Deville.

Born in Cavalese January 3, 1981 and resident in Moena, center that marks the boundary between Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme but in fact belongs to the first, the Trentino has played 125 World Cup races, for the great majority in slalom, both opening and closing his path in the Circus Bianco in Kranjska Gora on January 5, 2003 and March 4. It ended 21 times in the first ten and of these, four were podiums, all conquered in its magical 2011-2012 season: the second place at Beaver Creek on December 8th 2011, the third at Flachau on December 21st, the second at Kranjska Gora on 11 March 2012, but above all the victory at Kitzbühl on 22 January 2012, his only one in the World Cup, and thanks to these results at the end of that winter he placed fourth in the classification of slalom cup. You are the podiums, without victories, conquered by him in the European Cup. At the Junior World Championships he was bronze at Verbier in 2001, in three editions of the seniors the only time he reached the finish line was at Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2011, when he was seventh. At the Olympics he took part only in the 2010 Vancouver slalom, in which he did not finish the first heat.
