main city of Croatia, Zagreb has entered the calendar of the World Cup after the success registered for the same test female. The first edition of the Slalom held on Sljeme mountain dates back to February 2008, and since 2009 - Snow and event city of Monaco permitting - the first race of the calendar year of the World Cup.
The rule of Zagreb Slalom curse for the Croatian public continues to male levels. Ivica Kostelic, as well as his sister Janica, has never managed to triumph in his hometown, but the winner of the 2011 World Cup is the leader of the podium ranking, well-4, three seconds (2008, 2009 and 2011) and a third place (2012).
The roll of honor of what is considered the Slalom easier on the calendar is still a stellar level. The only one who has triumphed more than once is the greatest skiers in business, Marcel Hirscher, who imposed in the last three editions dated 2012, 2013 and 2015. Before him have only guys who have won gold medals in the main event or cups of specialty. Mario Matt, Olympic gold in Sochi, has in fact imposed in 2008, Jean-Baptiste Grange, the world's gold in Garmisch and Beaver Creek, in 2009, Andre Myhrer, who won the cup in 2012, in 2011.
Full list of winners of Zagreb Slalom Giuliano Razzoli. The Emilian won 6 January 2010 the first race of his career, a prelude to the triumph at the Vancouver Olympics, ahead of Manfred Mölgg for what is to date the last Italian-two in a race for the World Cup. Razzoli also boasts the third place last year, got down with the bib number 43; for blue therefore 3 podiums - a first, a second and a third place - in this test.
Are finally mentioned Felix Neureuther, Julien Lizeroux, Mattias Hargin, and Sebastian Foss-Solevaag or the other guys in business able to conquer podiums - two second places for German, one third each for the others - among the narrow poles of the capital Croatian.
The special slalom in Zagreb Male will be staged Thursday, January 5 with the first run at 14:45 and the second at 18:00.
