Austria found itself in the awkward position of being able to summon only 9 athletes in the men's sector (11 instead women, full contingent), announced in the early afternoon with Matthias Mayer, Vincent Kriechmayr, Manuel Feller, Marco Schwarz, Michael Matt, Johannes Strolz, Otmar Striedinger, Raphael Haaser and Daniel Hemetsberger listed.

Meanwhile, the choices of Italy are awaited, with 9 places available for the female sector and 7 for the male, although there could be an additional quota for a male sector forced to make important sacrifices, from Moelgg to Gross up to Maurberger and Sala (the latter potentially in a ballot with Innerhofer and Casse).
