The player from Bolzano had fallen in training in Zermatt in the rally last week: he is above all concerned about the ankle problem from a Soelden perspective.

Confirmation was expected from the examinations carried out in these hours and, unfortunately, the fears have been confirmed.
Riccardo Tonetti will have to remain in the pits for some time, after the injury he suffered in the last few days in Zermatt, during the work session together with the speed team which, just this week, returns to the track at the '' shadow of the Matterhorn.
The 31-year-old from Bolzano, falling in a super-g run after losing a ski, has in fact remedied a sprain-contusive trauma to his right ankle, as well as a fracture to the first metacarpal of his right hand, in addition to a costal trauma. The ankle problem is worrying for the prospect of competing regularly in the inaugural giant in Soelden on 18 October; Tonetti will undergo further investigations and will then be re-evaluated by the FISI medical commission to evaluate the recovery path.
Tonetti, among other things, had already injured his right hand (suffering tendon injuries) in March 2019, prematurely ending the season in which he had touched the world podium in combined.
