Anyone who has been there at least once knows, the 3Tre is a unique show that goes far beyond the World Cup night slalom and unites the two souls of Madonna di Campiglio, the sports one and the one linked to glamor and social life. While today's champions promise a show in the two heats scheduled for Wednesday 22 December for the slalom on the Canalone Miramonti (5.45 pm and 8.45 pm), the legends of the past are ready to give 3Tre a dream night.
After all, when characters of the caliber of Alberto Tomba and Marc Girardelli move towards Madonna di Campiglio, rewinding the tape of memories and taking the time machine becomes automatic. Great rivals at the turn of the 80s and 90s, Tomba and Girardelli did not want to miss the appointment with the great classic. Both at 3Tre have written pages of history: the name of Tomba stands at the top of the roll of honor with 3 successes in slalom (1987, 1988, 1995), while Girardelli triumphed in the classic Trentino in 1984 in ... super-g, the last time of the 3Tre at World Cup level speed.
One year after the closed-door edition, the 3Tre Committee has also drawn up a calendar of collateral events, destined to ignite the hearts and passion of fans in view of the Night Slalom. On the day before, Tuesday 21 December, the appointment with the draw of the bibs of the first 7 athletes of the slalom ranking will return as usual, at 18.30 in Piazza Sissi. The event will be open to 500 spectators who must be in possession of a reinforced Green Pass, therefore obtained exclusively with vaccination or cured from Covid-19 in the last 6 months.
Before the public bib draw, a lounge dedicated to the history of 3Tre is also planned, starring Marc Girardelli, Giorgio Rocca and the new volume by Paolo Luconi Bisti, “The Great History of 3Tre” published by Giunti. After the bib draw, the blue team at the start of the slalom will take center stage in Piazza Sissi, presented by Laura Pirovano (who is at home in Campiglio) and there will also be a moment dedicated to the newborn opinion newspaper "La Reason ”directed by Fulvio Giuliani.
On Wednesday 22 December, between the two heats, the musical entertainment of Radio Deejay, with Andrea & Michele, and another 3Tre lounge dedicated to the events of the Madonna di Campiglio summer season, presented by the former cycling champions Francesco Moser, Maurizio Fondriest and Gilberto Simoni and the Eurosport technical commentator, Riccardo Magrini.
