The 30-year-old Austrian was working precisely on the parallel, given that on Sunday he would have been among the favorites of the Lech / Zuers race, he who in this discipline took his first podium in the World Cup in December 2019, third in the Alta Badia, until just over two weeks ago his only one in the maximum circuit, before touching the masterpiece in the giant of Soelden. The mockery of the jokes concerns precisely the moment of this new serious injury, considering that the 2nd place on the Rettenbach had shown us a Leitinger in great shape in the year that would have led him to the Olympics, after having already lost them in 2018 for the crash, to the same crusader of the right knee, which he suffered a month before PyeongChang.
In the next few hours the surgery, with the season obviously over: "History repeats itself after 2018 - added Roland through the OESV press office - I just have to let this moment pass, the bitterness is huge".
