The war between Wengen and the Swiss federsci is a little less ... cold. Federal number 1 Urs Lehmann, in fact, spoke today afternoon of the hot topic of these hours, namely the request by Swiss Ski itself, addressed to FIS, to exclude the historic Lauberhorn stage from the World Cup calendars starting from the 2021 season / 22.
The former downhill racer and candidate for the number 1 chair of the international federation opened to the Bernese organizers: “I am convinced that together we will find a solution - said Lehmann - even if there are problems and the main one does not concern Swiss Ski. The last three out of five events in Wengen have gone into deficit, there has always been a marketing plan of a certain professionalism. It will therefore be necessary to optimize it and the second step must be that of public support; once budget equality is guaranteed, the federation is ready to help in exceptional situations and support the organization ".
