The startlist of what, after the cancellation of Zagreb, becomes the first specialty race of 2022: first heat (10.30) with the Norwegian to open followed by Pinturault and Noel. Seven blues at the gate, with the return of Razzoli and Tonetti proposed between the narrow goalposts.

Put aside the midweek disaster in Zagreb, 24 hours after the spectacular giant that opened the weekend in Adelboden, here is the slalom on Chuenisbargli, the third race of the season between narrow poles for men and the first of four major challenges in one January which will then see Wengen, Kitzbuehel and Schladming complete the pre-Olympic journey.
Sunday (at 10.30 the 1st heat, Slovenian layout, at 13.30 the second on an Austrian design, for both live TV on Eurosport 1 and Rai Sport) there will be a total battle with Alex Vinatzer to lead the Azzurri in search of the first podium in the discipline. The Gardena, who fell today in giant without consequences, will start with number 10 (the pectoral factor will affect relatively, the conditions on the track are really good for now) in a slalom that will see Sebastian Foss-Solevaag again, as in Campiglio and then in the 1st heats of Zagreb which he had dominated, first at the gate.
After the Norwegian specialty leader (at 140 points like Kristoffer Jakobsen, who caught 11 in the second subgroup), here is Alexis Pinturault, third in giant and podium in the last discipline test in Campiglio, and Clément Noel , natural favorite with the number 3 even though also in Adelboden, last year, he gave the race in the 2nd heat (in a decidedly less sensational way than the recent 3Tre).
Kristoffersen (who won here in 2016 and 2017 between the tight posts, in the second case in front of Manni Moelgg) will have number 4, Feller 5, Zenhaeusern for the home rescue on 6 and Marco Schwarz, revived with a nice 9th placed in giant, will close the first subgroup. Before Vinatzer still Yule and a very dangerous Dave Ryding, after the blue and Jakobsen here is Meillard, Zubcic, Strasser and Matt, who however start a step below in the prediction.
Seven Italians at the start, without Hans Vaccari (who was the favorite for the last bib available) but with the return to the specialty of Riccardo Tonetti, last of the Azzurri starting with 54 after the final bitterness of today's giant . Manfred Moelgg will start with 19, Giuliano Razzoli with 23 to find the right sensations after having skipped Zagreb (but it went well ...) due to a back problem, Stefano Gross with 27 to free himself on the track that gave him , in 2015, the only success in the World Cup, and then two athletes in great shape like Simon Maurberger (30) and Tommaso Sala (37).
