The Italian campaign of the men's World Cup begins, ready to land on Wednesday in Val Gardena for the first test towards the speed races scheduled for Friday and Saturday on the Saslong, followed by the two giants of Alta Badia, on the wonderful Gran Risa that Sunday and on Monday Odermatt, Pinturault, De Aliprandini and all the other specialists will compete again.

We can only imagine the desire to excel of Alex Vinatzer, splendid 3rd in Campiglio 12 months ago, after what happened a few hours ago on the Face de Bellevarde: the exit from the scene in the last three doors of the 2nd round, with the square of '' honor behind Clément Noel (who would descend immediately afterwards, to then dominate) now certain, he did very badly. The sensations left by the 22-year-old from Val Gardena, however, were very good and bode well for a great race on Canalone Miramonti, where Stefano Gross will also try to exalt himself, who on Sunday he forked in the 2nd heat, Giuliano Razzoli great 9th in the opening like Tommaso Sala, 12th, and Manfred Moelgg and Simon Maurberger, with mixed fortunes on the “Face”.
The Azzurri will be able to prepare their home slalom in the best possible way, as the World Cup group will train right on the slope of the Canalone Miramonti starting tonight, training under the spotlights in "race" conditions. Appointment from 17 to 20 (the heats, next December 22, will be staged at 17.45 and at 20.45), to work on that dream of returning to victory in Campiglio, sixteen years after the magical night of Giorgio Rocca.
